No name calling, No abusive Words: Modiji is a unique leader
The more I witness Modiji's self-restraint and humility in the face of adverse challenges, the more I'm impressed by his leadership traits. When the USA imposed a massive and unmerited tariff on Modiji despite his full support for Trump's America, Modiji's restraint spoke volumes about his great personality. The Chinese lost their cool in a similar Tariff-War condition. However, Modiji is celebrating with his poor farmers in Bharat even when his opponents criticise his ability to negotiate a win-win deal with America. He stands for and with the poorest of the poor.
Modiji did not resort to name-calling or abusive language against the excellent economy or the great leaders of America. Greatness is not in calling oneself great, admiring oneself narcissistically, and treating those who are below oneself miserably. Greatness lies in treating people with respect despite their lowly condition or rude behaviour. India has trumped America today in the matter of treating others with respect. We may be a ZerO in America's sight, but we have intrinsic worth, as image-bearing human beings, in God's sight. Like the EU and China, which also buy Russian oil, we don't support Russia's wars. We try to end wars.
I wonder why American Christians are mad at Hindus of Bharat for a war that Russian Christians are fighting against Ukrainian Christians? Why can't Christians resolve their war matters without causing difficulties to Hindus and Buddhists? Where does Jesus fit in all these bloody wars? Is the same Jesus in a Russian Christian killing Jesus inside a Ukrainian Christian? Will Jesus be proud of America, Russia, or Ukraine if he returns today? After all, many American Christians think Jesus' only remaining work is to punish Hindus of India for not worshipping him. Right?
It's incredulous to think that we're still fighting Christian wars in the 21st century. How can we expect to convince Modiji and his Hindus that Jesus is a loving, living, and loyal God if we continue down this path? It's time for a change, for us to move away from conflict and towards understanding and respect.
