Empuraan: A Movie Review from a Hindu-Christian Perspective
Dear Empuraan,
We love you. We know you intend to present something positive using negative Biblical characters. Love and justice are human needs. Perhaps it is because God created us in his image: love and justice. Your movie is successful. Your acting is superb, as always. People love your presence and presence of mind. Your message is justice through strength, that is, by punishing the wicked. Even so, the Bible says, "Delightful are the merciful. They shall receive mercy." I loved many of your quotations from the Holy books. For instance, "But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it... for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you (Matthew 10:19-20)."
However, the first 10-20 minutes of Empuraan are a biased depiction of historical facts to support one faction of Kerala's thoughts. Don't forget that the Gujarat riots have a cause. Muslim people burned a train in Godhra on 27 February 2002, killing 58 Hindu pilgrims returning from Ayodhya. It acted as the trigger for the riots. If the Muslims did not do it, there would be no riots in Gujarat. We don't support the riots or rioters, but we also don't support the mob that burned Hindus alive in train bogies. Empuraan did not show the train incident. Who is Empuraan hiding the truth from? Or Was it a political strategy to offend Hindus only? Many years ago, Hindus gave refuge to Syrian Christians and Jews persecuted by Middle Eastern Peaceful Religion. Now, Hindus are giving citizenship rights to persecuted Christians from Pakistan.
We understand the emotions of the Muslim victims. Violence cannot kill violence; only love can heal these wounds of 23 years ago. However, when will you guys reveal the emotions of those who lost their mothers, fathers, and little children when Jihadis incinerated the train? It was 2002. Now, it is 2025. The Supreme Court did not find any politician guilty except for the local goons mentioned in the movie. Indian judicial system already punished them. Then, why must Empuraan kill him with his gun? Secularism doesn't mean you depict North Indian Hindus in a bad light. The movie supports the Islamic cause. Kerala Muslims will love it. Still, it isn't very objective to the core. We won't forget the lives Islam took in many parts of our country through terror attacks.
One Temple. One Riot. Emotion out-of-proportion! But when will Jihadism stop terrorizing Christians and Hindus everywhere? Think of the innumerable temples, churches, and synagogues that Jihadis destroyed. When will Prithviraj question the Jihadi atrocities? How long will people overlook the atrocities done by Islam across the World? Do you know how many Temples Tipu Sultan and Aurangzeb destroyed in South and North India respectively? Do you ever notice the number of churches Jihadis are destroying in Nigeria and Syria, even as we speak? Do you know who KASAB is? Do you know how many Kashmiri Pandits Muslims raped, killed, threatened, terrorized, and sent off from their lands? Don't spread Hinduphobia. Revenge is not the right way to right the past wrongs.
The point of your plotline seems to be twofold. 1. To redeem Muslims from the Hamas Terrorism effect worldwide. 2. Perhaps you intend to say that all Muslim boys don't become terrorists. It is commendable. Even so, in the big picture, you present Muslims in a positive light, even those who dream of violent Revenge. And, you present Hindus, particularly North Indians, in a bad light. It may not help UDF to regain anything in Kerala. You are pushing Hindu votes away. Nevertheless, I liked the last dialogue, "not Malabari, but Hindustani." May God bless Empuraan. Praise be to Jesus Christ. Your resurrection scene of rescuing Manju V. was fantastic. Overall, Empuraan is a refreshing sequel to an exciting Lucifer.
Honestly, do you want UDF to lose again? If UDF wants to win elections in Kerala or India, they will also need Hindu votes. If you ever wanted to know why I.N.D.I. Alliance keeps losing; look at these six big things. 1. Reservation Quota System. Even the 50% reservation is unfair towards the poor, general category candidates. 2. Corruption. Many charges against the leaders seem to be true. 3. Condoning Terrorism and everything Muslims may do. Remember, you will need Hindu votes, too. 4. Hatred for Hindi. Treat Hindi well, and you will do well in Hindustan. 5. Stereotyping North Indian Hindus as Hindutva voters. Then, how will they help you win? 6. Support for evils like Homosexualities, Abortion, Transgenderism, Drugs, and Gender identity confusion in the name of Liberalism and Secularism.
Jai Hind! Bharat Pita ki Jai! ❤️👍
