Modiji went to a Church, when will Gandhiji go to "Hey, Ram Mandir."
As I write this, we hear of violence against some Christian groups as they celebrate Christmas in Bharat. The BJP is not interested in violence against any minority religious community. If these are independent groups, the leaders need to correct them. Narendra Damodardas Modi ji has conquered Christian hearts today by attending a church in such a time as this. The Prime Minister and his team are welcoming minorities to participate in nation-building. Modiji himself went to a church today. That is the official view of the BJP. We celebrate and respect all faiths in Bharat. Modiji is holding a Bible. I hope it was gifted to him by the Church.
I pray that Modiji will read the Bible when he finds time, beginning with Mark's gospel. I hope God will end the misunderstandings between Hindus and Christ-followers in Bharat. Jesus came to love and heal. He is a gentle God, not a violent tyrant. Modiji, a devotee of Maryada Purushottam King Ram, has no problem in admiring such a person. I pray and hope that regional hostilities between Christ-followers and Hindu people will end. We need to build bridges, not break them. Jesus loved even his enemies. Our testimonies must carry the fragrance of his love, not the hatred of the Communists or Jihadis.
However, why do the opposition leaders still hesitate to visit the Ram Temple? The Ram Mandir is not a BJP temple; it is a Hindu Temple like a Sikh Gurudwara or a Buddhist monastery. If Modiji can celebrate Christmas with Christians in a church, and Bakrid with Muslims, why do the so-called saviors of secularism hesitate to visit the Ram temple? The Supreme Court, not the BJP, decided that a Ram Temple will be built in the disputed site. So, now, what's the point in reiterating that Hindus demolished the masjid to build a Temple? If the Supreme Court had sanctioned a Mosque, a Mosque would be built, not a Temple, even if Hindus felt angry.
Therefore, since the Supreme Court decided the matter, people need to welcome the Ram Mandir with respect and affection. The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is an aspiration of many Hindus of that region. Let's not be kupa mandukas and ignore the big picture. Even the Abu Dhabi Sheikh has no problem building a Temple for Hindu workers in his country. Hence, all opposition leaders must visit the Ram Mandir and end this false pretense.
