Can a Christ-follower be a Bharatiya Patriot?
As long as Political Islam is present, religion will continue to influence politics. Hindus are generally inclusive. Political Islam's exclusivism and aim for an Islamic state united North Indian Hindus politically. The seculars, who value multi-religiousness and pluralism, often call this Political Hinduism. However, in reality, it is Hindu people tracing their roots to know and maintain their identity as a community. It is the struggle of Hindus to protect Bharatiyata, live by their morals, and safeguard their civilization. Without political power, Hindus cannot protect their civilization because Islam is a political religion. Islam often tries to erase the past memories of every civilization.
Lord Ram is a great king of Bharat and a Role model. He is known as the Maryada Purushottam, someone who lived a morally exemplary life. We look up to him and his example. Lord Krishna is also a source of wisdom, and we honor his teachings. I personally follow Jesus as Lord, believing he is God in human form who sacrificed his life to forgive people's sins and grant them a future resurrection after his return. Jesus loves all people: good and bad, happy and sad, rich and poor. God-King Jesus’ this-worldly Kingdom will come after he returns. Even so, I admire Ram and Krishn as our great Bharatiya kings. I cherish our Sankar (culture) and Sanskriti (civilization). I believe God will not let Bharat become an Islamic state. No Mughal, British, or Sultan could obliterate our culture and civilization.
The Bible teaches that following Christ means loving and serving others. Today, though, some use religion to control or seize others’ territories and possessions. Many Christians now act much as colonial rulers did in the past. Christ Jesus calls us to love and respect others, not to hate and humiliate. If you are a Christ-follower and can say “Allahu Akbar,” meaning “God is great,” you should also be able to appreciate our ancient kings. Bharat will stay Bharat, not become Arab or Greek. Our culture and civilization will last. Our architecture and arts will be valued. Our stories and epics will remain. We should not let Modiji's opponents take away Bharatiyata from Bharat. We are Bharatiya—Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, or atheists. Bharat Mata ki Jai. Jai Masih! Jai Jai Bharatiya Janata Party.
